We rented a 9 person van at Milan airport to go to the Alps. Price was good and they provided winter tires so we went for it. First surprise was at pick-up when a huge deposit was requested, unless you upgraded to a quite expensive insurance. Surpriiiise! second one was when we picked up the car since it did not have any dedicated space for our ski gear, or a way to remove a couple of back seats to do so. The answer from the assistant at the garage was something like shove them in as you can. Third surprise was 2 months after the vacations when I received I received a notification from my bank that Sicily by Car had taken an extra 61 euros from my credit card. Only 3 days later I received on the email a letter from them saying that they had received a traffic fine (won't get into the freaking airport cops fining 85 euros for staying 12 minutes on a 10 minute parking and fining with no previous warning) and that their administrative charges just for letting me know was 61 euros. They also provided the cops with all my data.
Sicily by Car, u suck, and have no idea what customer service is. It was totally noticeable that they staff was overworked and underpaid and that, and those hidden ways to rip you off, says a lot about the top management / owners. First time and last time. Hope you get out of business! -

Terrible. I reserved a standard SUV and was given a small SUV at the airport, then charged an "upgrade" fee to get a standard SUV. Plus they charged me for 4 days when I said I only needed it for 3 and had it back within 72 hrs. Total runaround after the fact. I had to file a fraud complaint with my credit card company and even then only got a partial refund. Avoid.

DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL CAR AGENCY. When we arrived at Catania airport, there were 75 people in line and were being told there were not enough cars. The wait was 3-4 hours just to talk to one of their agents. I was forced to rent a car from another company which I was able to do just by booking online while sitting in the lobby of the car rental building. -

DO NOT rent a car from this company. Fraud is obviously part of their business model. The entire reservation, pick-up, and drop off experience felt like a thinly-veiled hustle. I should add that I speak fluent Italian and have rented cars in Italy several times prior to this trip.
My experience is like many others reviewed here - I was charged over $200 extra for a minute scratch to the front bumper that I supposedly caused. This "damage" was very likely there when I rented the car.
The signs were abundant: In Florence, they asked me to sign that the car is in good shape at the reservations desk, before I even went to the pick-up point to see the car. When I questioned this, they said I could point anything out to the attendant in the pick-up point who gives me the keys. I inspected the car, and saw nothing that would qualify as "damage".
When I returned the car in Pisa, I was met by a rude, aggressive attendant in the lot. For a scratch so small, it was suspicious how quickly he pointed it out to me, as if he knew exactly where to look for it.
Of course, they will rent the car to their next customer and almost certainly charge them for the same minuscule scratch. It's a total scam. -

Wants me to pay 70 euro just for notifying me of a ticket and they won't tell me how I can pay this 70 euros. This is not the cost of the ticket, just for notifying me. This notification is more than the rental itself.
